Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

For Christmas about 10 years ago, my sister-in-law gave everyone in the family a cookbook her Carefree Night Homemakers put together. I've used several recipes out of it. This one has no information on its source other than the lady who submitted it...Louise McRoberts. I think I've seen something like it elsewhere, but can't tell you where. These are pretty simple and generally, other than the chocolate chips, most of the ingredients are on hand.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup granulated sugar
12 oz. peanut butter
3/4 tsp white "Karo" syrup
2 tsp baking soda
4 cups regular or quick cooking oats
3/4 cup chocolate chips

In large mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Bake for 12 minutes (with Pampered Chef rectangle baker rotate sheet 1/2 turn and bake 2 or 3 more minutes) at 350-375 degrees. Allow to cool 5 or 10 minutes then put on cooling rack.
