WF Bacon-Cheeseburger Hamburger Helper (Almost)

The base mix for this is from the recipe Almost Hamburger Helper on website. There are several variations including Chili Mac, Beef Stroganoff and Quick Lasagna. In looking for a something different, I created this version:

Bacon Cheeseburger Almost Hamburger Helper
1 pound ground chuck or round, browned and drained
1/2 pound bacon; cooked, drained and crumbled
2 Tblsp dried minced onion
1/2 cup Almost Hamburger Helper mix
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 Tblsp ketsup
2 cups
Bionaturae Penne pasta- uncooked
2 cups water
1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Combine all ingredients except cheese in large skillet, bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat when sauce is cooked and pasta is al dente. Sprinkle cheese liberally over all, re-cover for about 5 minutes and let set. Makes about 6 servings.

Almost Hamburger Helper Mix
2 cups nonfat dry milk
1 cup corn starch
1/4 cup beef bouillon powder
2 tablespoons onion flakes
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Mix all ingredients together and store in airtight container. Use as a base in the recipe above or others at
